Despite our love for Japanese gardens, sometimes it could be interesting to create different garden. For example, to create the garden in Mediterranean style.
When we arrived at this site, there were already paved paths, on a round cobbled platform there was a light gazebo, and on the other side there was a swing. We had to decorate a garden, to add in it flower beds, bushes, trees. Looking at the light stone fence, the nature of the paving, bright colors of pots for flowers, we decided that the Mediterranean style could not be better suited to this site.
We planted around the gazebo junipers Skyrocket. In the foreground we made a flower garden from perennials gathered around the site, adding Japanese spiraea to it, which will create volume in autumn and spring. Also in the garden we planted spruce, pine, juniper, decorative apple, Euonymus alatus.
On the opposite side Thuya Smaragd echo with the verticals of junipers at the gazebo. For the autumn time we planted hydrangeas and viburnum.
Near the greenhouse, which is located between two garden zones we made a small rose garden using red and white roses.
In the second part of the garden the owners wanted to have the pond.
We placed the pond in a corner, planting a willow behind it and we put a bench towards to the pond and the garden. On the right and left sides next to the fence we made the relief, planted on the hills pines, spiraea and setting stones.
