When we first saw the place for future Japanese garden, we were really impressed by the view beyond. Beautiful golf course, with rolling hills and perfectly trimmed grass. So it was necessary to include this wonderful landscape in the future garden... |

In this project, we were faced with the task of making a garden that would be in harmony with a modern house and would be associated with a Japanese garden that we created earlier on this site. The Japanese garden itself was isolated from the rest of the space, but other parts of the site were adjacent to the house. Therefore, it would be wrong to continue the theme of the classic Japanese garden. But at the same time it was necessary to preserve the integrity of the object... |

Garden of peace of mind, or anshin-garden, is called so because it was planned as an island of peace and comfort among the city.
In the garden there are islands washed by the sea. The sea is made in the technique of kare-sansui. In the center you can see the main island Horay with stones and pines. Two vertical stones, inclined to the tops of each other, mean a male and female beginning. |

On a small plot, next to a stylish gazebo, the owner of the garden decided to create a beautiful Japanese garden.
We offered to make paving imitating waves, in the style of the famous Japanese designer Mirei Shigemori, and a small hill, fencing off this cozy corner from the main garden. The space between the paving and the hill we covered with pebbles... |

We were invited to this place in order to give it a Japanese feel. The garden was made long before us. Very beautiful, well designed. However, over the years, the trees and shrubs have grown greatly, hiding all the beauty, and a large number of perennials created excessive diversity in the garden. |

We started to create this garden in 2013. The owners of the site didn't plane the Japanese garden, they wanted us only to made some changes to the plot where were planted fruit trees and berry bushes.
In 2016, the owners of the garden went to Japan, and this country made such a big impression on them that they wanted to do something in Japanese style in the garden. We offered to create a pond with hills. For this idea we choosed the place next to the gazebo... |

The history of this garden began in 2011. The owner moved from another house and she planned to take some plants to the new garden. We decided to make one half of the garden in Japanese style, and in another one to plant the fruit trees and blooming bushes.
The Japanese part, in turn, consists of three parts: a dry stream with hills, a forest garden and a pond garden. All of them are separated from each other and from the fruit garden by bamboo hedges... |

Shortly before our acquaintance, the owners of the future garden attached to their site a neighboring one, almost the same in size. Since a large family gathers here and guests often come, we decided to build in the second part a small house with a barbecue complex and make a recreation area... |

This garden was not planned as Japanese garden. But when we talk to the owner of the garden, it turned out that he likes stones, conifers, and he prefers minimalism. All this suits the Japanese style, so we decided that we will create a garden with a "Japanese mood"... |

A small stone garden, which we made in the center of Moscow. Since it was not a soil, but the roof of a private house on the 10th floor, it was necessary to provide for the drainage of water. Therefore, the base was made of perforated iron, under which drainage systems were located.
When we saw the view from this place, we decided to try to repeat the geometry of the city by of stones... |

In 2014, we were offered to create a Japanese garden on a small piece of land. But, despite such size, this part was very important, since this is the first thing you see coming into the garden.
We decided to create an island in the center (the sacred island Horai), with beautiful stones and nice formed pine. Around the island there is a light gray pebbles... |

August 4, 2017 in the garden center "Vsevsad" in St. Petersburg held a master class on the creation of a Japanese garden in a small area. Here is a small report how it was.
The name of the future garden is “Two shores are two worlds”. One of the shores symbolizes the world of human problems and concerns, the other one means the world of rest and relaxation, the world of Nirvana. Between them there is the sea of light pebbles. The boat runs from one coast to another, transporting those who want to get to the world of peace and harmony... |

Despite our love for Japanese gardens, sometimes it could be interesting to create different garden. For example, to create the garden in Mediterranean style.
When we arrived at this site, there were already paved paths, on a round cobbled platform there was a light gazebo, and on the other side there was a swing. We had to decorate a garden, to add in it flower beds, bushes, trees. Looking at the light stone fence, the nature of the paving, bright colors of pots for flowers, we decided that the Mediterranean style could not be better suited to this site... |
